וּבְנָיָ֨הוּ בֶן־יְהוֹיָדָ֧ע בֶּן־אִֽישׁ־חי [חַ֛יִל] רַב־פְּעָלִ֖ים מִֽקַּבְצְאֵ֑ל ה֣וּא הִכָּ֗ה אֵ֣ת שְׁנֵ֤י אֲרִאֵל֙ מוֹאָ֔ב וְ֠הוּא יָרַ֞ד וְהִכָּ֧ה אֶֽת־האריה [הָאֲרִ֛י] בְּת֥וֹךְ הַבֹּ֖אר בְּי֥וֹם הַשָּֽׁלֶג׃
Benaja też, syn Jehojady, syn męża dzielnego z Kabceel, był czynów wielkich. Ubił on dwóch rycerzy moabickich. On to również zstąpił i zabił lwa wpośród jamy w dzień śnieżny.
Rashi on II Samuel
The two Moabite giants. [Yonoson translates:] "The two Moabite giants." And our Rabbis said, There was no one like him not during the first [Beis] Mikdosh nor during the second [Beis] Mikdosh.21Berochos 18b. Rashi there explains that אֲרִיאֵל is a name used for the Beis Hamikdash.
